Australian Netball star Renae Hallinan trained local netballers the Mooroopna Cats Blue team on Tuesday December 6 2011. Previously a Melbourne Vixen, Renae now plays for the South Australian Thunderbirds and was thrilled to come back to her home state to train the girls.Local netballer Julia Collihole won the training session with Renae through a Facebook competition with FIT. Con and George Bakkalais were the lucky winners of the FIT Health Insurance Half Time Kicking Competition at the International Rules Game on October 28. They won 2 AFL Memberships, valued at $1400!FIT ran a competition whereby three parents and their children got to make their way down to the pitch at half time and kick the Gaelic Football into the nets.Con and George made a pretty formidable team, both displaying excellent kicking skills.Unfortunately Australia did end up losing to Ireland, but the fusion of Gaelic Football and AFL made for an exciting game!
