AFL Medical Officers Association
The AFL Medical Officers' Association (AFLMOA) represents the AFL's club doctors throughout Australia. Drawing upon the expertise of its membership, the AFLMOA has played an active role in making FIT a premier fitness and sports health insurer. The AFLMOA is also making its Australia-wide network of doctors and sports medicine specialists available to treat FIT members. FIT is the AFLMOA’s first choice in health insurance.
David Buttifant
David is currently in his tenth year as an AFL Sports Science Director. He has a Doctorate in Exercise Physiology and has worked with elite athletes for over twenty years both at an Olympic level and in the AFL, including being a current member of the AFL Research Board.
Dr. Tarah Kavanagh
Dr Tarah Kavanagh is a sports psychologist with over 20 years experience as an athlete, coach, and sport psychology consultant to AFL clubs, national sporting organisations, sports academies, schools, universities, and professional athletes. She has a remarkable understanding of the sport, fitness, and health industry, its demands, requirements, and the complex factors that influence performance and wellbeing.

Renae’s netball career began in 2000 when she captained the Victorian Under 16 squad and she hasn’t looked back since. She debuted in test Netball in 2009 and was also awarded the International Player of the Year Award that year. 2010 was a great year for Renae. She played for the Australian Diamonds at the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, where the team brought home a silver medal for Australia.
